The Children's Society

Two boys laughingThe Children’s Society wants to create a society where you are happy and listened to. We help young people who have problems, including children in care and young runaways. We give disabled children and chance to speak, help young refugees to rebuild their lives and give young carers a break. Through our campaigns and research, we speak to the government and adults so that young people like you have a better chance in life.

We work with thousands of children and young people all over the country in many different towns and cities to help them with their problems. Contact us if you would like to find out about programmes near you.

If there is something that's upsetting you, or perhaps you're worried about a friend who's hurt or upset, remember that there's nothing that's so bad that you can't talk about it.

Two girls laughingThink about someone who you like and trust to talk to, maybe your parent or carer, aunt, uncle or grandparent. There is also a national telephone line called Childline, which you can call for free and speak to someone who'll listen to whatever you want to say, but will promise not to tell anyone else. Call them on 0800 11 11.
